Wengen, where the wind comes sweeping down

Today the wind blew and it did so pretty strongly. It’s not Oklahoma – we have too many hills – but we had a pretty lively day.

This morning, Mrs IS was off to the cable car whilst the Idle Skier was trying still to open the breakfast marmalade.  We caught up eventually and had a good morning’s skiing on an indifferent day.  It was a bit like yesterday, but more so, being grey, wet with rain and snow, and a pervading wind.

The weather is forecast to change this week, with colder temperatures and more snow.  I seem to have written something similar for weeks, so let’s hope ithappens this time.

A windy day in the mountains brought 9,265 vertical metres in 20 lift rides and 49 kilometres travelled.
