It’s only 25 March but today had an end of term feeling. There were few skiers on the hill this morning; in the afternoon, virtually none at all. In Zermatt, Verbier and any number of French resorts, I am sure it is still high season.
I wonder sometimes, does Wengen give up on the skiers or do the skiers give up on Wengen? Whichever, it seems we are more or less done here for the winter. It is a shame though as the snow is still very good.
Granted, there is not much below the level of the village, but it is still easy to ski back to Wengen. This evening it is sleeting in our neck of the woods, but on top of the hill it will be snowing nicely.

Today was a mixed bag of sun and light snow. The very few skiers around could see where they were going for the most part, but occcasionally a cloud parked itself at piste height. Then, it was anybody’s guess which way was up and which way was down.
A quiet spring day brought 10,496 vertical metres in 22 lift rides and 58 kilometres travelled.
