New snow

It may be end of term, but it did snow on the hill last night and conditions were pretty good this morning.  There was a cold North wind as well, which was good for the skiing, but bracing for those of us who thought it might be a warm day.

There was still hardly anyone at all on the mountain, so the Idle Skiers had an excellent day.  When Mrs IS was skiing though, I managed to spend most of the time on the ‘phone.  The day job has been following me around like a faithful Labrador this week.

One of the big off piste runs around here is White Hare. From the Eigernordwand lift, people can be seen skiing, then walking to the start line.  Just at the moment though, a bit of a diversion might be needed.

That is one bit of the off piste even the best skiers would want to miss. In the near future, there will be a new pylon there and those heading for White Hare will ski past without another thought.

A ‘phone interrupted day brought 10,394 vertical metres in 22 lift rides and 58 kilometres travelled.
