Well the cancelled flight meant there was no rush to leave Wengen this morning and the Idle Skiers rushed to the cable car instead for what, for me anyway, was a bonus morning. We were on the 8.45am, which was full. It is holiday time again and Wengen will be overflowing for the next few weeks.
However, the skiers spread out pretty thinly at that time of day and my stolen time was as good as it gets, with the sun shining and a chill in the air.

All too soon, it was time to head back to the village. There seem to be no flights at all to the U.K. today, but Swiss have squeezed me on to the 7.10am to Heathrow tomorrow, so it is a night at the airport hotel for me. I write this on the train to Berne. The weather looks to be improving in London, but is set to be stormy in Zurich, so I can only hope for the best.
The bonus day brought 5,456 vertical metres in 12 lift rides and 35 kilometres travelled.
