It is fairly quiet always this week in mid December and quieter than ever this year as the wider world continues to be knocked from pillar to post. There have been skiers around though this last couple of weeks, local people and those who have made the trip from Interlaken and beyond.
Today was the perfect skiing day, colder than yesterday but with the sun still shining. That might have meant an influx of day trippers, but they stayed away. There were a few people on the gondola from Grindelwald to Mannlichen and almost a crowd (in today’s terms) at Wixi, but otherwise the mountain was empty.

Tomorrow seems pretty much the same weather wise. Will anyone show up?
A day of splendid isolation brought 10,834 vertical metres in 22 lift rides and 56 kilometres travelled.
