It is mid February now and the days are lengthening. We don’t walk home in the dusk at the end of the skiing day as we did only a couple of weeks ago.
The time available for skiing hasn’t become longer though. At the end of January, usually, the lift closing time stretches by half an hour until 4.30pm. This year that extra half hour has not been added, presumably as a cost saving measure. It is expensive to run the lift system.

Today has brought another mixed bag of weather. The sun shone intermittently early on, then gloriously for an hour at midday. In the afternoon, the weather tried to stay bright and succeeded at times.
The day brought 9,476 vertical metres in 20 lift rides and 49 kilometres travelled.
