After yesterday afternoon’s difficult conditions, the sun shone today as forecast and the mountain was once more a familiar sight. Although it is Saturday and great weather, it wasn’t too busy. At just before 10.00am, there was no queue at all for the cable car. The Mannlichen and Lager chairs had a few people waiting their turn, but not the dense throngs of many good weekends. The valley cloud, expected from the forecast, didn’t turn up either, so perhaps the usual day trippers stayed at home to enjoy their gardens.

Our old friends the Bonnigen ski club were on the mountain of course. The last time they missed a day in March, they didn’t ski again for the best part of nine months, so best to be here when the opportunity arises.
A glorious, sunny day with good snow all the way to the village brought 10,318 vertical metres in 22 lift rides and 54 kilometres travelled.
