The village has become very busy in the last 24 hours. This morning, for the first time this season, there was a queue at the cable car. It was still quiet on the mountain though. A day of indifferent light hurried people to the mountain restaurants where they lingered long after lunchtime.
Tomorrow’s forecast is not good, with a good chance of rain, at least in Wengen anyway, if not on the hill. However, the forecast is often wrong, so we hope for the best.
A grey day brought 8,754 vertical metres in 18 lift rides and 43 kilometres travelled.
