It seems no time at all since the days began with a dawn which occurred somewhere close to mid morning, or so it seemed, and when dusk hit the mountain by 4.00pm. However, time flies. The days are much longer and, at the moment at least, sunnier.
It was another prefect day in the Jungfrau region. The early crowd at the cable car soon dispersed over the mountain and it was quiet for most of the day. The exception was on the ski back to Wengen, when everyone seemed to funnel into the home bound pistes at the same time. For the umpteenth time in the last ten days, the rope tow from the tunnel to the top of the nursery slopes broke down by reason of the number of skiers trying to use it.

After two fractured years, familiar faces are beginning show up in the village more frequently. Long may it continue. There have been times when it seemed the old way of things had gone forever.
Yesterday’s scores were 11,677 vertical metres in 25 lift rides and 62 kilometres travelled. Skiline is still considering today’s figures.
