It was cold this morning, with a cloudless blue sky yet again. I wasn’t sure what to expect on the mountain. The locals always start their ski season as early as possible, but when spring reaches the valley, they often put away their skis and reach for their road bikes and paddle boards instead. However, it must be winter still in the minds of those who live in Interlaken and beyond as the mountain was crowded from early on.
It was an almost perfect day, save for the busy pistes. The snow was excellent again and the day never warmed up much at all. We may be on the cusp of spring, but winter still has some bite.
Skiline has finally caught up with things. The last two days have brought 21,074 vertical metes in 44 lift rides and 112 kilometres travelled.
