It was four degrees on the balcony this morning and at the moment, near 10.30pm, it is almost ten degrees. It has been a warm day. Even so, conditions were slightly better than yesterday and first thing this morning, the skiing was as good as you could want. That there is hardly anyone skiing helps the snow conditions enormously.
Meteo Swiss is still promising some cooler weather over the next few days and I hope they are correct. I cannot remember the last time it snowed here, but it is several weeks ago. We have been enjoying, and relying upon, the early season big snowfalls along with the cold temperatures we have had until recently. A half way decent snow storm would be useful just now.
A day of slightly hazy sunshine brought 8,633 vertical metres in 19 lift rides and 49 kilometres travelled.
