It is a some time since we have been in London this late in the year. We have sought out the early season snow in Wengen for several years now, but tonight the snow has come to find us in Putney. The covering is thin and is probably very wet. There is no need to break out the powder skis and there will not be a lift queue in the morning.

It is ten years or more since we have seen snow here. Inevitably, the local authorities will not be ready and if the white stuff is still on the ground in the morning, London will grind to a halt. Which would be a nuisance, as we have to go into town in the afternoon. Is it possible to hire a sled and huskies, I wonder?
